Diversity and enrollment are both up across Greenwich Public Schools this school year, according to a new report from the district.
The document showed that 9,016 students attend Greenwich’s 15 public schools this year, up 45 students from the previous year. While the incoming class of kindergarten students was smaller this year than last year’s graduating seniors, an influx of students moving into town resulted in a net gain of students, said Jennifer Lau, research manager for Greenwich Public Schools, during a Board of Education meeting Thursday night.
“We had positive migration at the elementary, middle and high school levels,” Lau said. “Normally, there is a dip at the middle school level.”
